Our economy is in the ditch, and many people's jobs are right behind it. Many people are searching for ideas for self employment. The truth is, anyone can work for themselves and be their own boss. The trouble comes when trying to decide exactly what it is you can do.

The first step you need to take is decide what you actually like to do. By using your hobbies and interests as a basis, you will enjoy your work and be much better at what you do. Self employment ideas are as varied as people - there are endless options.

So, what if you really can't think of a single way you can work for yourself? Here are some ideas:

1. Decide if you want to work online or off. If your desire is to work online, there are hundreds of options to choose from.
